Celtic DVD 125 Years - 125 Iconic Celtic Moments
“A football club will formed for the maintenance of dinner tables for the children and the unemployed” - Brother Walfrid, St Mary’s Church, Calton. 6th November 1887.
From these words sprang a club and, with it, a cultural name that soon grew to worldwide renown; the name being that of Celtic Football Club.
For over 125 years, the Celts have been entertaining and enthralling a fanbase founded on tradition and steeped in sporting success.
Now, to commemorate the Hoops’ first 125 years of existence, the club has compiled 125 iconic stories from across its rich and absorbing history.
Among those remembered in this celebratory DVD are classics such as the Coronation Cup, Hampden in the Sun, Lisbon, Nine-In-A-Row, Stopping the Ten, the Centenary Double and O’Neill Treble as well as events that rocked Celtic Park, from the loss of the two Johnnys, Thomson and Doyle to the World Club Championship in 1967 and the struggle for the club’s soul in the 1990s.
All of these elements and so many more make up the fabric of a club truly different from the rest. This is Celtic, those were our first 125 unique years and these are 125 of our most iconic moments...
