Celtic Scott Brown Book
Scott Brown signed for Celtic in 2007 from Hibernian, a move which remains the biggest transfer between two Scottish clubs. His ability and attitude have long since won over any doubters and detractors and now, eight years later, he is Celtic captain and the club’s longest-serving player.
He has joined an elite group of Celts who have made over 300 appearances for the club, and he has won five league titles, two Scottish Cups and two League Cups… and while he might not be a prolific goalscorer, his celebration whenever he does hit the back of the net is now an iconic part of Celtic, known affectionately by supporters as ‘The Broony’.
Yet, it has not all been plain-sailing for the Celtic midfielder, on and off the park, throughout his time at the club. There have been injuries and problems to contend with and discontent behind the scenes on occasion, while away from the game, he suffered the worst possible experience with the death of his younger sister at the end of his first season at Celtic.
The Celtic captain, a real favourite with supporters, tells his story of his time at the club, from the day he signed – ‘the best decision I ever made’ – right through to the double-winning season under Ronny Deila, as well as his hopes and ambitions for the future when he does eventually hang up his boots.
It’s a frank, honest and emotional story from a player who is proud to pull on the green and white Hoops, and who is honoured to wear the captain’s armband. Please note, depicted sleeve for illustrative purposes only.
