Celtic Captain Billy McNeill (pic) carries the European Cup through the car park at the Estádio Nacional in Lisbon, Portugal on 25 May 1967 after Celtics’ historic 2-1 win the final against Inter Milan in the 1967 European Cup Final.
Managed by Jock Stein, Celtics’ was the first victory in the competition for both a British and northern European team. The "Lisbon Lions" and are widely considered as the greatest team in Celtic's history.
All of Celtic's players were born within a 30-mile radius of Glasgow: Ronnie Simpson, Jim Craig, Billy McNeil, John Clark, Tommy Gemmell, Bobby Murdoch, Bertie Auld, Jimmy Johnstone, Willie Wallace, Steve Chalmers and Bobby Lennox.
